    团结和组织北京地区工业设计相关团体、单位，工业设计工作者及一切关心工业设计事业的人士，以繁荣首都经济和社会发展为中心，推动工业设计在各个领域的应用，提高企业的设计创新能力，促进北京工业的发展；繁荣北京工业设计事业，促进设计产业发展。为工业设计团体及工业设计工作者服务；做北京市政府推进工业设计事业的助手，为完成市政府的相关目标服务。

    To unite with and organize all the industrial design related bodies, organizations, professionals and all the people interested in the industrial design undertaking in the region of Beijing, center around enhancing the capital city’s economic prosperity and social development, promoting the application of industrial design in various fields, and increasing the innovative capability of the design unit of businesses; bringing prosperity to Beijing industrial design undertaking, and promoting the development of the design industry, and providing services to industrial design bodies and professionals; and serving as assistant for Beijing Municipal Government in the facilitation of the industrial design undertaking, and offering services for purposes of attaining the relevant objectives of the Municipal Government.
